1.What Are Hand-tied Hair Extensions?
Hand-tied hair extensions are made by manually attaching hair to an extension seam. They are installed by manually attaching them to small sections of your own hair using either a special kind of cotton thread or tiny silicone-lined beads. Hand-tied wefts are thinner than machine wefts, but they actually contain more hair and also look more natural and voluminous.
2. Can I do My Hand-tied Hair Extensions By Myself?
Installing hand-tied extensions requires skill and experience, so make sure you choose a certified hairstylist.
3.Can I swim with hand-tied extensions?
Yes, you can! However, pool water can damage your hand-tied extensions, so make sure you wear a silicone swim cap.
4. Are they Long Lasting?
Hand tied hair extensions last between 9-12 months, depending on your care. While most people need to get them moved up by the 7th week, it depends on your hair growth speed.
You may color bleach your hand-tied hair extensions, because they are 100% virgin human hair. But we do not recommend bleaching hair that already been dyed at our manufacture, and forcing bleach on hair that has already been dyed can be difficult.
If you truly want to bleach your Hand-tied extensions, please consider our virgin hair with natural color (can be bleached to any colors). If you would like to dye your hair already color treated, please do for a lighter set to dye darker, rather than a darker set to bleach lighter.
And please be reminded that never try to dye the set yourself at home. Get yourself a professional hair colorist, ideally, someone who has had previous experience working with hair extensions. Test a small piece first before you decide to dye the extensions is always recommended.
